Rice wash water thick solution 1and 1/2 cup, bottle it for 1 week,


for 1/4 cup rice wash with 1 cup water , take this and ferment for 1 week
some people cover it with tissue paper and rubber it till a white membrane forms on top from 2 to 7 days. leave 1/2 space in the bottle, some others take some rice put in hot water and wash well and take the thick wash water,
 filter the middle layer with syringe or strain the liquid,take the clear 1 cup fermented liquid with 10 cup of double toned milk or milk mix well. Cover for 7 days, a yellow liquid
keep this in fridge, other wise add equal quantity of molasses/jaggery with 1/3 water to dissolve it
 mix, cover and leave for 7 days
 cool dry place is good for fermentation
depend on temperature fermentation will be late or early
Use small bowl or table spoons for measuring instead of cup , it help to make the batch in small amounts

again to activate em 1
em1  1part, molasses/jaggery 1 part, 20 part water mix and keep for 7-10 days covered , daily open and remove gas but not shake, a white filament appear on top strain and store and use within 1 month
em 1 3part, molasses 2 part, rice wash water 95 part  and do the same for 7 days
Again the activated em dilute and use
the proportion for dilution is 1;25 or 1:50  ie 10 ml for 250 ml or 500 ml water
some proportion is 1:100 or 1:200   ie 10 ml for 1litre or 2 litre water

Thus, from one liter of EM stock solution and one kg (or liter) of jaggery, you can produce 22 liters AEM ready for use. In hygiene, AEM is being used full strength or in dilution with water up to 1:100; in farming in dilutions ranging from 1:200 to 1:1,000; and in wastewater treatment diluted (with effluent or sewage) up to several thousand times. With 1 liter of Maple EM.1, 2,200 liters (if AEM is diluted 1:100) or 22,000 liters (if AEM is diluted 1:1,000) of solution can be produced, and even bigger volumes of effluents can be treated.

As the ideal microbial composition of AEM will deteriorate over time, it should be used within one month. Users are advised to prepare only so much of AEM as can be used within one month. EM stock solution should be extended only once. 

EM stock solution can also be extended with the help of rice water and sugar .

In kitchens and canteens where large amounts of rice are washed everyday, or in places where molasses and jaggery are not readily available, the water used for the washing of rice can be used for the activation of EM stock solution.

Collect the water of the first two or three washings of rice. Mix 3 volume parts of Maple EM.1 and 2 volume parts of sugar with 95 volume parts of the rice water.

Store the mixture in an air-tight plastic container and deal with it in the same fashion as said for jaggery-based AEM.

Rice wash AEM is used in the same way as jaggery-based AEM. It has the advantage of being white in colour and hence is more readily accepted in the context of hygiene management
