Cook 1 tea cup sambar dal and 1/2 cup red masoor dal in a pressure cooker 1 whistle , wait for 15 minutes and open
chop 1 potato, 1 onion, 1vellari, little beans, ladys finger in 1/2 inch to 1 inch sizes
chop tomato
chop green chilly, garlic
take some tamarind pulp
heat oil in a pan add little jeera , methi,mustard add ladies finger, green chilly , garlic, onion and saute 2 minute add 1/4 t hing, 1/4 mustard crushed, 1/4 methi crushed, 3t chilly , 4t coriander, 1/2t turmeric and saute add vellari, potato, tomato and saute
Add this to cooked dal add salt, sauted veg add 2 cup water and cook 1 whistle, add tamarind pulp and water , salt as necessary boil well,
The sambar is ready and tasty add curry leaf , dry chilly as availability at the time of sauting mustard
This sambar has very good flavor because of not using pkt masala ,or old masala, the fresh masalas give nice flavor to the sambar
Chopping veg in small pieces is good for idli and dosa and the sambar should be more watery
