Urad dal 1cup, raw rice 1cup, uluva/methi 1 t soak 4 hour and grind , mix 1 cup rice flour and mix well. Add salt, ferment for 8 hours/overnight , stir lightly , make idli in idli maker.
Remaining batter keep in fridge , make idli with this cold batter, The idli will be more spongy and thick than the 1st
Serve with coconut chutney and sambar
Idli variations
3 cup rice 1cup urad, 1 t methi, 1/2 cup aval soak and ferment and make idli.
