Potato pulav/biryani

400 gm measuring cup
2 cup rice
2 potato
2 tomato
1 onion
4 green chilly
1.5 tsp salt
ginger 1/2 inch
turmeric 1/4tsp
curry leaf 2stem
water 2.5 cup
til oil 40 gm
chop potato to 1inch squares, chop others

heat oil as necessary to saute onion, add 8 black pepper,  1/4 tsp  jeera, 2 clove, 2 elaichi, 2 small cinnamon, add green chilly , ginger , tomato , salt, potato saute all in oil for 4 minutes add washed rice and mix well and saute for 2 minute, add 2.5 cups of water put lid, cook till first whistle after that slower the flame and cook for 15 minutes. and switch off the flame, after 15 minutes open the cooker and serve with lemon pickle and pappad.
The rice is very delicious
I know that some of my north indian neighbours make rice with potato and tomato, then that betime I can't think about potato tomato rice, because I think that has no taste at all.
But because of shortage vegetables, and curry I decided to make a quick biryani meal with cooker
and I do this, the result is surprising, and very tasty.
I made this in til oil , not used ghee but very delicious, you can make in any of your favorite oil.
