KESAR CUSTARD ALMOND COOKIES

Ing:
11/4 cup maida
1/2 cup vanilla custard pwd
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup pwd ed sugar
1/2 tsp baking pwd
1/4 Cup chopped almonds
3 tbsp warm milk
1/4 Tsp saffron strands
(Soak saffron in milk)

Method:
In a bowl, beat sugar and butter till creamy. Sieve maida, custard pwd and baking pwd. Try to grind saffron strands for maximum colour and flavour. To the butter mix, add saffron milk and whisk nicely together
Once done combine dry and wet ing. and using ur hand mix them well. Add chopped almonds(keep few for garnishing) and mix everything well. Pls ensure not to knead dough like tat of chapathi dough.
Rest the dough for 10 min. In freezer or 20 min. In refrigerator. Once done, smoothen dough a little and then start rolling in balls and flatten a little between ur palm. Garnish with chopped almonds. Bake the cookies on preheated oven for 15 min. @ 180°c.
Enjoy this Yummylicious cookies once it comes to room temperature.
