  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon tea tree essential oil
Combine vinegar and essential oil in a small spray bottle. Spray vinegar mixture inside bowl, and also on toilet seat, lid, and handle. Allow cleaner to sit for several minutes. Sprinkle baking soda inside toilet bowl and scrub inside of bowl with a toilet brush. Use a clean dry cloth to wipe vinegar solution off seat, lid, and handle.
Heavy Duty Toilet Formula
This toilet bowl formula can take care of nasty rings in your commode, or any other tough toilet cleaning. It leaves a sparkling bowl and eliminates stale toilet odors.
  • ¾ cup borax
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops lemon essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a bowl or squirt bottle. Swish water around inside of toilet bowl with toilet brush, or simply flush to wet the inside of the bowl. Pour the entire mixture into the toilet bowl, and allow to sit for several hours or overnight. Make sure family members do not use the toilet during this time. Scrub the bowl and flush toilet to rinse.

Toilet Cleaning Fizzies Ingredients

Toilet Cleaning Fizzies Instructions

  1. Mix the baking soda and citric acid in a glass bowl. I suggest wearing a mask and some latex gloves for this to protect your skin and eyes).
  2. Slowly mist the dry power with water, mixing as you go.
  3. You want to barely wet the powder to get it to stick together in the mold. Literally 1-2 sprays should be enough and too much will cause fizzing .
  4. Add the essential oils and continue mixing.
  5. When done mixing, you’ll need to separate this mixture into single use sizes. You can either use a 1/2 – 1 tsp measure and place them on a piece of parchment paper until they dry, or use a silicon mold.
  6. Let dry overnight and carefully place in an airtight container like a jar or a gallon zip lock bag and use as needed.
  7. Take 1 cup of baking soda and place it in a glass bowl.
  8. Drop 50 drops of your essential oil blend into the baking soda. Remember, this is to be disinfecting your toilet bowl so it has to be STRONG… toilet bowls are nasty!
  9. Use a wooden spoon or a pestle to blend the oils into the baking soda.
  10. When all the oil clumps are broken up, put your blend in a glass jar to store.

  13. To Use:
Put 1 TBSP of your mix into your toilet bowl water and give it a good scrub with a toilet brush. Next, pour in 8 TBSP of 20% vinegar. It will fizz and foam as the baking soda and vinegar react. Feel free to grab your toilet bowl cleaning wand and give the toilet an extra scrub or two for good measure.
